Police matter leads to cancellation of ICBC road tests in FSJ
The Insurance Corporation of BC has confirmed that all ICBC road tests schedule in Fort St. John from December 1, 2025, have been cancelled until further notice.
According to a statement from ICBC’s Public Affairs department, this cancellation “is due to an ongoing police matter involving criminal harassment by an individual not affiliated with ICBC. Steps have been taken to ensure the safety of ICBC employees and customers.”
As a last resort, ICBC has made the decision to cancel all road tests in the city for now, and future tests are unavailable for booking at this time.
Recognizing the significant impact this disruption may cause, ICBC says its working “diligently with police and local partners to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.”
Everyone with road tests booked in Fort St. John for December should have received an email notifying them of the cancellation. You will need to reschedule your tests at another ICBC testing location.
“Winter months traditionally see lower appointment volumes, and we encourage customers to explore availability in neighbouring communities.”
Other communities with ICBC testing facilities include Dawson Creek, Hudson’s Hope and Chetwynd.
Drivers can book online at www.icbc.com or by phone at 1-800-950-1498.
Further updates will be posted in the broken typewriter as soon as more information is available.
