North Peace Pulse
Happy Friday North Peace residents!
Welcome to the first issue of the North Peace Pulse, the place where, once a week, you get a taste of things that happened this week in the North Peace that the broken typewriter didn’t cover, but you might still be interested in.
Here’s some of the things that happened in the North Peace this week:
On Wednesday, Dec 3 the FSJ Huskies iced out the Dawson Creek Kodiaks 8-4 at the North Peace Arena. The Huskies next game is in Fairview against the Fairview Flyers on Dec 6.
In the North Peace Hockey League, the FSJ Flyers will take on the Valleyview Jets at home on Saturday, Dec 6.
Measles cases in Northern Health continue to climb, up to 324 according to the BC Centre for Disease Control’s Dec 4th update.
Mayor Hansen and Councillor Bolin were interviewed by the Western Investor, promoting Fort St. John, and particularly the empty lot on the corner of 100 St and 100 Ave as a good place for investment.
The Christmas Market is happening at Peace Gallery North, Tuesday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec 24.
Taylor Council approved the new Official Community Plan at its regular meeting on Dec 1, which will set out the community’s path for the next ten years.
That’s all for this week! If you’re going to check out the Santa Claus Parade and Christmas Tree Light-Up tomorrow night in FSJ, bundle up because it’s going to be chilly!
