FSJ celebrates 159 years of Confederation
Drone show, Farmer's Market, Parade and other activities to celebrate Canada's birthday

This year’s Canada Day celebrations kicked off in Centennial Park on June 30th with Movies in the Park, followed by a Drone Show. This was the first year a drone show has been tried, to give residents a celebratory light show, which has been missing in the past few years following the cancellation of the city’s usual Fireworks Show due to drought conditions.
Canada Day itself began with a Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Hall, followed by the Parade, as well as activities and events in Centennial Park, including the Classic Cruisers Car Show, musical performances from a variety of local bands, and dance performances in the street outside Festival Plaza.
